THE MISSION of PURPLEHEART MINISTRIES

In the armed forces, the purple heart medal is given to someone who has been wounded in battle, yet keeps fighting for the cause. Our mission is to pick up the wounded soldiers in God's army. Far too many times a soldier will be wounded, yet even though this is God's Army, the wounded will be cast aside, out of the march in fear that others may trip over him and be wounded also.

Like all strong armies, the medic is an important part. God's army desperately needs more medics. It's a tough ministry because we're looking for the wounded soldier. Often cut down and spiritually bleeding to death. Sometimes he feels God Himself has left him or couldn't forgive him. But the grace of God Covers all. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness" (2Cor 12:9 NIV)Jesus Himself said this.

Paul was an outcast, a wounded soldier. He imprisoned and caused the death of hundreds of born again Christians as a Pharisee, and had to be blinded by Jesus Himself. Yet God's grace covered him and today he's considered one of the spiritually strongest disciples who ever lived. Once a soldier has been wounded, he is put through the fire and becomes stronger and the grace shown him can now be spread to others. The once-wounded soldier wouldn't think of casting another out of the march because of a wound. He has learned that God will judge him as he judges others. He is indeed worthy of the Purple Heart.

All involved in this ministry have received our purple hearts. We have learned to follow in the footsteps of the first wounded soldier who was cast out, spat on, beaten and stepped on yet still forgave and helped all He came across.....Jesus Christ.

Purple Heart Ministries is dedicated to the restoring of hearts broken by the world and by misguided members of the church. If you have been through trials as a Christian and come out a winner, you have felt the true power of God's Grace work in your life. To earn the Purple Heart you must be wounded in battle. Nobody wants to get wounded but if you're following God's will, the devil doesn't like it and sooner or later, people get hurt. This is the time when a church should be reaching out whether it's a bitter divorce, alchoholism, or any other vice that drags a good Christian down. Oftentimes a person is ridiculed or even ex-communicated from his or her church family when it's the one time they're needed most. Purple Heart Ministries is here NOT AS COUNSELORS but as a group of people like yourself who have been there and come through the fire, and felt God's grace. We are looking for e-mail partners who have been through trials of all kinds just to listen, and to be there in a person's darkest hour. To listen, and to pray, and to be an assurance that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that God has NOT and never will, leave them alone. If you would like to be such a person, or if you need a person to assure you that you are not alone, send me your story via e-mail. You need not leave your name and all mail is kept strictly confidential.
